Place the record flat and centered on top of the bowl, and
place the bowl on the cookie sheet (see graphic).
When oven is at full heat, place the record, bowl, and cookie
sheet in the oven and heat for 5 minutes.
Remove carefully, center the glass on the label, and push down
into the bowl. The now-pliable record will bend in a position
that allows the edges to stand up to mimic the bowl
(see graphic).
You can continue to bend the record while it is still hot, and
even reheat the record if you dislike the shape. If you are
planning to use the bowl to serve greasy food such as popcorn or
chips, you may want to Mod Podge the label. Also, you can make
4-inch circle labels on a computer to personalize the record
bowl, but glue them on before heating.
